ECHO BAY YACHT CLUB "WIN A TRIP OF A LIFETIME" FUNDRAISING PROGRAM

History

Located 18 miles from Manhattan, NY on a private island adjacent to the New Rochelle Municipal Marina. The club was originally organized as the Hudson Park Yacht Club in 1910 with an onshore presence. In 1914 the club leased Echo Island from Edward M. Schaefer of Schaefer Beer fame. The island was purchased from the Schaefer family in 1923. In 1929, the name was changed to Echo Bay Yacht Club.

Launches operate from May through Mid-October from the marina. The island has two clubhouses, outdoor decks and a large lawn area for events and rentals. Bring and store your kayak/paddleboard, there is easy access to the water from the island shore.
